Fog and Nature

My acupuncture appointments may include using acupuncture needles, cupping, gua sha, Qigong, acupressure, and/or lifestyle and dietary advise from a Chinese medicine perspective. Each appointment will be customized to fit your needs in that moment. I generally practice very gentle needling and find I get the best results when my patients are able to deeply relax during treatment. My clinical interests include fertility, postpartum, women's health, food allergies/sensitivities, mental health, and treating children and teens.

I have additional training in using cupping, gua sha and  derma rolling, on the face. My facial rejuvenation treatments may include cupping, gua sha, needling acupuncture points and/or dietary and lifestyle advice from a Chinese Medicine perspective. All of these elements can be used individually or together depending on your needs. Find more information on the Facial Cupping & Gua Sha page. If you are interested in hosting a private class or event please reach out.

Fire cupping is most commonly used on the muscles of the back to relieve tension and pain. It can be used on other areas of the body such as the legs and abdomen as well as be used in the treatment of digestive disorders, menstrual disorders, stress and to boost the immune system. Please be aware that this treatment will likely leave marks on the area treated that resemble a bruise and it is advised to keep the treated area covered until the marks are gone, about 3-5 days. Gua sha may also be included in the treatment if you are interested.

For my stress reduction treatments I use what is known as the NADA protocol. It is 5 needles specifically placed in each ear, I may include a few other points depending on your needs and comfort level. This treatment protocol is also used for many emotional and behavioral symptoms such as anxiety, PTSD, addiction (sugar, tobacco...) as well as musculoskeletal pain. Check out the Ear Seed link under my Shop page to learn more about auricular acupressure and see all the conditions that it can be used for. I'm happy to help with placement at your in person or virtual appointment.

Simply put Qigong is Chinese Medicine's version of breathing exercises and provides the foundation for Tai Chi. It uses the breath to connect the mind, body and spirit creating harmony within the person. In Chinese Medicine theory Qigong exercises are the only known way to nourish your life force energy or Prenatal Qi which is directly tied to reproduction and longevity. I offer one on one virtual sessions, two group classes and occasional  in person group classes. If you are interested in hosting a private class or event please reach out.

Virtual appointments allow me to bring Chinese Medicine to more people and are often more convenient for patients. My virtual Qigong appointments can include Qigong exercises specified to you, acupressure, lifestyle and dietary advice from a Chinese Medicine perspective or assistance with the ear seed kits from my Shop page. My virtual facial cupping and gua sha appointments are intended to teach a basic facial treatment and confidence using these tools. Skincare can also be addressed, products can be shipped. Washington state residents only.
